Music Theater Techniques (MUS 250) is a course that can be taken during a student's spring term here at Alma. This course usually occurs every other year. Taught by Dr. Scott Messing and Dr. Will Nichols, the purpose of this course is to provide each student with an understanding and appreciation of the creation and performance of musical theater through a complete staged musical production.

The course culminates with two complete public performances in the Presbyterian Hall of the Oscar E. Remick Heritage Center for the Performing Arts.

Past productions include Ruddigore by Arthur Sullivan and William Gilbert.
